Hi Everyone-

So many exciting things happening.  I just returned from an inspiring trip to Italy with my wife Irene to celebrate out 1st wedding anniversary.  Our church project has gone viral!  It’s not too late to vote for our nominated projects for HGTV’s Fresh Faces Awards.  I have work on exhibit at Florense and Artemide. I also wanted to share with you some of our favorite press!  We’ve been featured over 100 times in print and online in the US, UK, Germany, Switzerland, China, Greece, France, Spain, Mexico and Israel.

Artemide Installation:

Founded in 1960 by Ernesto Gismondi, the Artemide Group is an Italian design icon and an international leader in the field of lighting. Aside from being responsible for producing some of the world’s most notable lights, the Tizio designed by Richard Sapper and the Tolomeo by Michele De Lucchi, Artemide is recognized as a design innovator who continually works with globally renowned architects and designers including; Sir Norman Foster; Ettore Sottsass; Enzo Mari; Karim Rashid and Mario Botta. Artemide lamps are featured in permanent museum collections including the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Museum of Modern Art in New York.

The pieces I created for Artemide are part of their permanent collection. The works draw inspiration from architecture, design and art.  They are a representation of lighting and design manifesting the painting process with a minimal approach.  The paintings are stretched with raw canvas not primed, graphite pencil, with white, black and red paint.

HGTV Fresh Faces Awards
I have been nominated for HGTV’s Fresh Faces Awards in two categories: Kid-Tastic Spaces and Kitchen and Dining. I would love if you could vote for me. Out of thousands of designers they have chosen 10 designers per category so it’s pretty cool to be included.

hgtvJust click on the link, scroll down to Kitchen & Dining and Kid-Tastic Spaces.  I am in both categories.  Click on my project scroll through all the images  after the images a small blue tab will come up saying ready to vote. Click on it and then click on my project.  You will need to do this on both projects.

Please forward this email to everyone you know.  Voting lasts one month and you can vote once daily.  Links and more instructions below.  It’s a little tricky and we appreciate your support!
